So I recently got my hands on the popular “Acne Pimple Master Patch” by the Korean Skin Care brand COSRX.
Fortunately I don’t have an acne prone skin. My breakouts are very rare and in situations only when I’ve treated my skin badly , for example not had enough water, not applied sun protection or skipped skin care routines. I do have a generous array of blackheads around my nose and white heads on my chin area. But these both (white heads and black heads ) are classified as non inflammatory acne.
These pimple patches by COSRX will come in handy when you have an outbreak of a pimple ( aka inflammatory acne), and below is my step by step experience with the Acne Pimple Master Patch by COSRX. So let’s go !
Part 1 – The arrival of a pimple, let’s call her Suzy.
Part 2 – What Suzy looks like on my lower cheek
Part 3 – Placement of Cosrx Pimple Patch at 1.54 PM in the afternoon.
Part 4 – Removal of the patch at 11.45 pm later that night
The entire head of the pimple had come out on the patch. Suzy had been captured !
Part 5 – What my skin looked like after Suzy had left (Pictures clicked in two light settings for clarity and comparison)
However I did feel still there was some residue even though the entire head had come out. So I went ahead and put another smaller patch on.
Part 6 – Placement of smaller patch
Part 7 – Removal of patch (next morning at 8:45 am)
There was just a little gunk left off that got completely pulled off into the patch.
Part 8 – The final look of the pimple. All the pus and gunk had gone away Just the post inflammatory scar remained which will take its due course to heal.
So yeah within 24 hours the head of the pimple and all the rest of the gunk had completely been extracted by the patch. Of course the PIH (Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation) aka the acne scars will be there for a while. They can eventually be healed with Niacinamide / Chemical Exfoliation etc.
So that was my review of the Acne Pimple Master Patch by COSRX. It’s a good choice if you want to nip a pimple right in the bud given you have 24 hours to do it !
